Work Ready Employment Case Manager

Intro:

This Employment Case Manager position is an exciting opportunity to join Signal Centers' newest program. Work Ready is an innovative workforce development program to help participants obtain training and credentials, internships and job placement in the early childhood education field. 

JOB SUMMARY
:  To provide intensive case management support to TANF eligible individuals in order to prepare them to become highly trained child care professionals and obtain long-term, stable employment with benefits. Will work closely with participants to help resolve barriers to employment. 

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

  1. Once the participant is ready to seek permanent employment the Employment Case Manager will work to help secure part time employment while continuing education and training or full-time employment if exiting the program.
  2. The Employment Case Manager works intensively with participants with weekly contact with both the participant, the child care provider and the education and training entity.
  3. Provides intensive support to eliminate or overcome barriers to success and work with educators, trainers, and child care providers to troubleshoot and ensure employment is successful.
  4. Conducts assessments to measure the progress of the participants. This supports the program goal that at least 50% of participants will show a decrease in crisis and an increase in stability as measured by the Arizona Self Sufficiency Matrix.

  5. Carry and maintain a caseload of 10-15 participants, providing intensive case management and resource linkage. Maintaining appropriate case notes, conducting necessary assessments, and entering data into the system in order to track program progress & outcomes. 
  6. Participates in training, including DHS provided training on program supports, TANF supports, and community resources.
  7. Participates in community, partner, and outreach events as assigned.


Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or a related field.
  • Experience working with inner city families in a case management model and/or experience in workforce development is required.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation with valid insurance per TN state requirements.
  • Must be organized and proficient with keeping case management notes and data entry requirements.
  • Must be professional in demeanor and able to represent the agency well in the community.
  • Must be a team player and able to work cohesively in a team environment.
